vitamin supplemetsVitamins, a group of organic substances required in our diets in small amounts for growth and nutrition, are usually found abundantly in fresh foods or taken as supplements. Yet vitamins probably present a wider gap between myth and reality in the layman’s understanding than almost any other area of our diet. Surveys have found that while a majority of Americans do take vitamin supplements on a regular or occasional basis for reason of health concerns, there exists enormous confusion about the actual purposes and uses for the optimal benefits of this practice. Liver cleansing & spleen detoxification recipe

Filed under: Prevention — Smile @ 12:42 am

Total Blender I haveThis liver and spleen cleanser should be done by anyone at least once a year, even if you have a healthy diet and don’t drink alcohol. Go to a grocery store and buy a pound of red grapes (with seeds), 6 oranges and 3 lemons. Wash them well (read "Removing parasites and poisons from vegetables and fruits"). Now, to use my method, you need a powerful blender like Total Blender or Vita-Mix - got my TB on Ebay for $250 :). A good blender is not cheap but I believe it’s one of the best things you can get for yourself in terms of preparing healthful meals in 5 minutes or less (I use my Total Blender to make raw soups and fruit shakes). Why do you need a powerful blender for this recipe? You may add some distilled water to the blender and I want you to blend everything including the peels of the fruit to the liquid state (sorry, but your $30 blender will break if you try). (more…)

washing vegetables and fruits from poisons and parasitesIf you eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables like I do, you might be concerned with the amount of chemicals and parasites they come with from your local super-market or even a farmer’s market. That’s right- your organic produce you buy may not have as many poisons but still has so many microorganisms that you can’t afford not washing it thoroughly anymore.

To remove all the parasites and poisons from your vegetables and fruits, use these 3 safe but effective substances you may find in your house (don’t waist your money buying special products for this). (more…)

How to regrow or repair bad teeth naturally

Filed under: Natural Remedies — Smile @ 5:57 am

Yes, it is possible to repair and even regrow your teeth using a completely natural method that is actually based on science. A team of Alberta researchers applied for a patent that claims they created a miniature device that will stimulate the jaw bones and gums around the affected tooth. Using the low intensity ultrasound technology, they claim they were able to regrow the root of a tooth and stimulate tooth grow and repair.

Although the technology is not going to be in your local dental office for a few years, I believe we don’t have to wait for it and apply the common sense to do the whole process ourselves. First, we need a low frequency ultrasound source and from all the legally (you can’t buy a real ultrasound machine unless you are a doctor) available sources two come to mind. (more…)

Natural ways to remove earwax

Filed under: Natural Remedies — Smile @ 5:18 am

ear candleThere are many ways to remove the earwax without going to your doctor. The best natural method is to buy special ear candles (come in a pack of 4 for about $10). Ask for them in your local health food store and chances are they may have them.

The ear candle looks like a narrow cone (see the picture) made out of cloth soaked and dried in wax. The assistant would insert the cone into your ear canal and light up the top of the cone, and the sucking pressure created inside the cone will draw the wax out of your ear into the tube. (more…)
